Leah Schneider
NEI Heavy Civil & Bridge Construction
"Growth isn't always linear, and that's okay. Titles and promotions don't define success-the people you work with, the experiences you gain, and the challenges you overcome are what truly build a meaningful career. Don't let fear or intimidation hold you back—let it drive you. Do it afraid. Find your voice and don't be afraid to use it. Be the squeaky wheel when you need to be, and make sure your voice is heard. You belong here."
Meet Leah Schneider, a Project Manager at New England Infrastructure (NEI), where she supports the planning, coordination, and execution of complex heavy civil and bridge construction projects across New England. NEI is a leading contractor specializing in bridge rehabilitation, deep foundations, marine construction, and other vital infrastructure work. Their reputation for taking on challenging, high-impact projects with integrity and excellence made them a natural fit for the next step in her career.
With over a decade of diverse industry experience, Leah has worked in heavy highway/civil construction, design-build commercial projects, and electrical distribution. Her return to heavy civil marks a full-circle moment in her career, bringing her back to the work she's most passionate about-building infrastructure that makes a lasting impact and being part of strong, collaborative teams. At NEI, she contributes to project planning, subcontractor coordination, field operations, and project controls, all while continuing to grow into a more advanced leadership role.
Leah has been a proud Nashua resident for the past four years, where she lives with her fiancé and their two cats. She enjoys staying active through exercise and spending time outdoors, but her biggest passion is being an equestrian- she's owned her horse Bailey for 12 years and competed in numerous shows, proudly earning several Championship & Reserve Championship titles in Dressage and Hunter Pleasure along the way.
Leah officially joined NAWIC in April 2025 after attending several local events. She found the NH Granite State Chapter to be incredibly welcoming, supportive, and full of inspiring women, each with their own unique and powerful story. "There's a real sense of connection and common ground here," she says. "The passion in this group is infectious-it's exactly the kind of energy and community we need in this industry."
