Several of our members and their families met at the Seashell Stage on Saturday, March 9th to participate in our Community Service event. The clean up was led by Nikki Tenaglia, Community Engagement Coordinator of the Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation. We collected 7lbs of Trash to include tiny pieces of plastic and paper and twine. It was a fantastic way to wrap up our WIC WEEK 2024 celebrations! We even found the "golden egg" which was a plastic bacteria-eating white disc that was part of a spill over from a wastewater treatment plant located in Hooksett, NH and flowed down the Merrimack River. The estimated 4 million disks were spilled in March, 2011! Thank you to all who participated!
