"Don't be afraid! Ask questions, walk the site, get down on your hands and knees, walk in the mud, talk to the people actually performing the work and learn from them. You can read about construction, look at plans, study methods, know how to use software, but until you've seen and experienced real life in the field, you are missing a key aspect of knowing how to execute a project successfully."
Caitlin Horan began her career as an architect in Massachusetts, working for a small firm for four years. During this time, she focused extensively on multi-family housing and commercial office fit-ups. This experience was invaluable, as she had the opportunity to see many projects through from initial design to construction administration and closeout. After earning her architectural license, Caitlin accepted a position with Trident as an Owners Project Manager (OPM). In this role, she enjoys collaborating with architects and contractors to oversee projects from start to finish. She finds it very rewarding to deliver successful projects to owners and has been doing so for seven years at Trident. Additionally, Caitlin is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is a certified LEED Green Associate.
In March 2025, Caitlin became a member of the NAWIC Granite State Chapter to connect and network with other women in the industry!
Caitlin lives in Windham, NH with her husband, their two children, and their dog. She enjoys hiking and has completed the NH48 challenge in the White Mountains, which involves climbing all 48 peaks that are over 4,000 feet in elevation. Caitlin finished this challenge just before her daughter was born in 2022. In the winter, she is also an avid skier and loves spending time in the summer at her parents' house in Maine.
