Ana Perez
Philips Academy Andover
Ana Perez currently works at Phillips Academy Andover, where she manages a diverse range of construction projects. From a young age, she has been fascinated by how things come together. Growing up, Ana spent hours in her dad's auto shop in East Boston, where she
watched him repair and assemble cars. He often let her use the tools, teaching her not to be intimidated by them. His shop, located by the water, provided a perfect view of the construction happening across the way. Watching those buildings rise day-by-day was awe-inspiring.
Like many others, she was captivated by the Big Dig; her school bus passed by it daily, and she was mesmerized by the construction vehicles and the constant activity.
Fast forward a few years, Ana earned her degree in Interior Design. During her studies, she was drawn to project management—specifically, how a design evolves from a bubble plan to a fully realized
space. The combination of her love for art and construction was a
dream come true.
Throughout her career, Ana has gained experience on all sides of the industry. She has worked as a millworker for subcontractors, collaborated with both large and small general contractors, and been
involved on the owner’s side for two companies. One thing they all have in common, and something Ana is truly passionate about, is the ability to deliver a finished space that enhances the lives of its users.
Ana is always on the lookout for new ideas and methods to apply in her work as a Project Manager. She is committed to her own growth and believes in the importance of sharing knowledge to help others develop as well. After all, what is the value of learning if it's not shared with others?
Feeling the support, joy, and motivation from its members, Ana decided to join NAWIC in 2024. The atmosphere is infectious, making you want to stay for hours to engage in inspirational conversations
with everyone present. She instantly feels comforted knowing she is in
a room full of like-minded and passionate individuals.
Ana lives in Tewksbury with her husband and two daughters. They love having impromptu dance parties in the kitchen, complete with disco lights from Amazon, and they enjoy spending me outdoors as much as possible. No ma4er the weather, her family always finds an excuse to leave the house, get their hands dirty, and explore. Recently, Ana’s husband convinced her to take up snowboarding, and she wishes she had learned sooner. She finds it amazing and she can't wait to see her
girls snowboarding in tutus next year!
